Shri Jagadguru Moorusaviramath- a religious center, stands out today as a beacon of light, illumining the hearts of spiritual aspirants. Dedicated, as it is to the accomplishment of the universal good by fostering the growth of educational, social, religious, cultural and medical institutions, it is holding aloft the banner of Indian religious. This Math has furthered the cause of Veerashaivite revolution following the great tradition of Niranjan Peetha.
His Holiness Late Srimanmaharaj Niranjan Jagadguru Dr.Gangadhar Rajayogeendra Mahaswamiji under the auspices of the Sri Jagadguru Moorasaviramath Vidhyavardhak Sangha which was started in the year 1966, launched many educational institutions in Hubli and has struck a plan to start the University for women too. All the institutions are well managed by different Trusts and supported financially by the math and also by the munificent donation from the public. It may be noted that under the able and benevolent guidance and financial assistance of the present Mahaswamiji and Hon. Chairman, Governing body member of SJMV Sangha, all the institutions are thriving progressively. The sangha’s name is associated to from Nursery school to Graduate course in many disciplines. All the educational institutions are housed in their own buildings and are well equipped with necessary requirements.
“Knowledge is the only means which alone can enlighten everyone’s life and lead everyone to the religious path. Education only is the veritable oil which can light the lamp of knowledge. Moreover, the lamp of knowledge does not reckon the discrimination between the genders.” Such was the noble taught of Holiness Late S.M.N.J.Dr. Gangadhar Rajayogeendra Mahaswamiji of Moorusaviramath and some three decades ago he felt that need of separate arrangement for women’s education. The women’s college of ours is the realization of his foresight dreams and aspiration and it stands as a testimony of his dynamic efforts, his selfless and dedicated service to the noble cause of education. His incessant efforts and his great sacrifice have made this illustrious institution a unique one in its own and inimitable way and remain as such always in the forefront. This indeed, is the aim and desire of our institution.
