About Department

The department of physical education commenced in the year 1967. The objective is to provide facilities related to playing and fitness. The department nurtures students with thorough knowledge in the theory and practical components with the view that they will serve the society independently and confidently as teachers, coaches and management specialists.
The department has been offering the courseB.Voc in Sports Fitness and Yoga from Nov. 2022.

Department Highlights:

• The department is having qualified staff members in the field of Athletics, Chess, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Weigtht lifting and Power lifting, Hand Ball, and Netball.
• The department conducts selection trials to identify talented players during the months of October and November every year.
• The selected players were trained, coached and sent for participation in the All India Inter University games and sports.
• The department provides opportunities for the students and the staff to participate in the open and invitational tournaments organised by reputed educational institutions.
• Fee Concession for University Blues and best sports students.
• Hostel facility is provides to the best sports students.
• Cash Prize provides to University Blues.
