About Department

Psychology has emerged as a scientific discipline in the last 135 years. It has long history and a short past. Psychology as a science/social science tries to understand the behavior of an individual in different situations making the learner to get equipped with various abilities to lead life with refined knowledge and talent as well as making it more students centric.
Department of Psychology and Counseling cell started in this reputed institution in the year 1975 Since then the department is focusing on the overall development of the students, the knowledge of the subjects will equip the students with basic skills of understanding themselves and also the behavior of other.
Department of Psychology and Counseling cell provide the students to experience the intellectual excitement of studying the mind and behavior and also sharpen their critical thinking and analytical skills. The programmes organized in this department are need based and practical oriented. It enhances the young mind the spirit of learning and motivation.
