About NCC:
The National Cadet Corps is the Indian Military Cadet Corps with its headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India.It is open to school and college students on volunteer basis. National Cadet Corps is tri-services organization, comprising the Army. Navy and Air force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizen. 
Aims of NCC:

  1. To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the country.
  2. To create human resources of organised, trained and motivated youth.
  3. To provide leadership in all walks of life to be always available for the service of the Nation.
  4. To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up career in the armed forces.

NCC under NEP-2020:
National Cadet Corps is now an elective for college students, as per the National Education Policy (NEP-2020). Students will receive credit for completing the NCC course which will allow them to qualify for their degrees.
NCC at Our College:

  1. Our institute has been providing opportunities to students to join NCC from 2021.
  2. Our college was provided 5 open vacancies by the 5 Girls Karnataka NCC Battalion, Dharwad.
  3. 5 students of our college (2 from BA and 3 from B.Com) had joined NCC in the year 2020-2021. They were attending the parade and practice in P.C.Jabin Science College, VidyaNagar, Hubballi. All the 5 students have cleared NCC ‘B’ certificate examination, held on 13th July, 2021 and ‘C’ certificate examination, held on 21st Feb. 2022. All the cadets attended the CATC camp held from 18-10-2022 to 27-10-2022 in Karnataka University, Dharwad.
  4. 2 students have joined NCC under open vacancy provision in 2022-2023.
